Hello, on Android tablets, there are apps that allow the display of multiple windows on the same screen like desktop computers. Is there such app for iPad PRO 12.9?

How? Can I have them slightly stack on top of each other like Mac OS and Windows?
Not really, but why would you want that with such a small screen?

You can have 4 apps open, as long as one is a video playing in PIP. Play the video in PIP, use a split view between apps #1 & #2 and you can use slide over for the last one. 4 live app windows at the same time.

The IPP 2017 12.9" screen is big enough to do it. My Galaxy Note PRO 12.2" with lower resolutions could run multiple windows nicely.

If multitasking like that is critical for you why not just go for a laptop?

I purchased a 2017 IPP 12.9 a few months ago so that I could retire my Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. The performance difference is night and day I can tell you that. My note pro is gathering dust now. Sure the note pro could easily do multiple windows but memory management and processing power wise it was clunky when applications were demanding. Everyone’s mileage may vary here but for me when I’d work with large PDF files on Android things would be slow and sometimes unstable. On the iPad Pro it’s much faster and much more stable to do what I need to do which is to annotate PDFs so that I can review documents/drawings for my projects.

Multiple windows are very useful on my MacBook Air with an 11" screen. :) iOS feels kind of primitive in this regard and really shows its roots as a phone operating system IMO. The split screen multitasking is a step in the right direction but still feels awkward to me.

I am in the same boat.

Having the ability for windows stacking on each other allows larger windows then dividing the screen by half.

Man I hate that ad

Apple is targeting children as the next generation customers.

Instead of simply looking at whether the iPad can display 4 apps simultaneously or not, how about telling us what kind of workflow that requires you to have 4 apps simultaneously on screen at the same time?

And if having 4 apps simultaneously on screen is a MUST for your specific workflow, then get an Android tablet of a laptop. No point in bashing an iPad just because it doesn't do a specific thing.

I am not looking at whether the iPad can display 4 apps simultaneously and I have not bashed an iPad because it doesn't do a specific thing. Please refer to the original post.

I use an iPad Pro exclusively for work and personal and I never really have much of a need besides 2 at a time which the iPad does very nicely. Occasionally I'll keep a video going as well. I guess it depends on your use case, but yes you can run multiple apps at once.
