I have several very long video files that I'd like to divide into clips and post on YouTube. I figured I could quickly do that in iMovie HD, but when I pulled in one of the files (it's long, but somewhat bad quality), it said it would take 35 minutes to import! I've waited and waited, and right now it's frozen, saying "Less than a minute" I don't need to add titles or transitions, I just need to divide them into clips. Is there some program where I can just clip them up and not have to wait? Can Quicktime Pro do this?

yes, quicktime pro can....

...you can just cut sections you want, and save them separately... its a useful tool!!

I thought so. This is a stupid question, but how do I do that?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found out.
