is there an easy way to search a network drive

I have a synology nas and would realized that I am not able to search for files on the drive using spotlight. Is there another way to do this or maybe a good application that would do this?

You could try EasyFind: http://macupdate.com/app/mac/11076/easyfind. That's my favorite search tool; I rarely use Spotlight.
