Is there an easy way to update core info

on an iPhone. I just got a new 3G and gave my old one to my wife. The numbers are ported sucessfully but the name of both phones are <My Name>'s iPhone and her number does not show up on the summary screen. It looks like it does separate backups for both phones but I still see how this might lead to issues down the road.
