I have a late 2013 rMBP for reference.
The only thing that absolutely kills my battery life is YouTube or Twitch or any other online video. YouTube isn't even flash anymore so I'm not sure why it's so horrendous.
I can go from an expected 9 hr battery to well under 3 hours and dropping as soon as I start streaming. Also, the fan goes insane and the computer itself gets super hot.
On the other hand, I can probably stream videos on my iPad for 5-6+ hours no problem.
Why is this something that Apple can't fix, or these geniuses can't come together on a solution? Seems like it would be fairly elementary for them. It's getting really annoying to have to be tethered to a wall all the time.
The iPad does some things so much better than a MacBook does like reading, video watching, calendar, FaceTime, etc...but of course with anything else a Mac is better suited...Really wondering why they can't fuse the best of both worlds.
