Is there any difference in these 2 hard drives?

Seems there's some software preinstalled (Windows only) on the Plus. It also includes cloud backup and the ability to use the drive with both Windows and Mac computers without having to reformat.

Not sure, but if I had to guess I would say the Basic is probably formatted as NTFS and the Plus is exFAT.
