Hi!!

I am working from home for a road assistance insurance company (sending towing services and giving customer client support) from home, by means of the COVID lockdown.

I have already found VPN remote connection apps for Mac and succesfully installed Microsoft Remote Desktop from the App Store.

Therefore I get happily connected to the remote computer at work, from home. I can remotely control my remote computer at the company building, from my bedroom!!!:cool:

But:

I haven't been able to find a free Contact-Center remote telephone app like Avaya One-X Communicator in order to get connected to the phone network from home.

Could anyone recommend a free solution? The company will cover my electricity expenses at home, but no software license at all. They gave me PulseSecure (for the remote network), Microsoft Remote Desktop (to control remote computer) and Avaya One-X to access the phone network, but the Windows versions.

As I have a Mac in my own recording studio, I would like to use that Mac to avoid daily notebook computer shifting:rolleyes: (they share both the bluetooth mouse and keyboard, as well as the 1080p screen). I have got PulseSecure and Microsoft Remote Desktop (both for the Mac) succesfully up and running.

But a solution to access the telephone Call Center network is missing at the moment....

Thanks for a quick response....

Regards...

Have you contacted Avaya to see if your Windows license will also cover you for your Mac computer. Maybe the license is on a per user basis.

----The license is not for me, but for my company. The technical engineers in the company that set my Windows notebook up told me that only Windows version was available. So an Avaya One-X Communicator mac version was finally discarded.

That was the reason I am posting here, asking for a working and free mac alternative.

Thanks for your quick reply!!!:):)

Use VirtualBox on your Mac, and set up a Windows VM on it - then install your communicator program in the Windows VM. You can install and use Windows 10 without a licence, you just won't be able to customise its appearance.

If your program is actually just for accessing SIP/VOIP, then try Linphone.
