I have looked around and there isn't any tutorials and I know I am not the only one who wants a ibook to be functional again, is there any tutorials out there I just have to know

Maybe you can make your own tutorial? (Got to start somewhere, right?)
Post your results (and the tutorial) back here when you are successful!
I would but I am scared to mess up the ibook, I made a imac g3 slot loader a monitor and my imac g4 a monitor but a ibook is more difficult if you understand

There is a guy who makes PCBs for adapting an Apple M series logic board to a iMac G4. Perhaps that is a good starting point in terms of looking at how he adapted things or perhaps that is a project he is willing to take on. Just putting it out there. BTW- I would love to do the same with a PowerBook Pismo. Good luck!

This sort of thing tends to be a custom build. They are one-offs. The people who do them came up with a plan and perhaps a few of them took pictures and mentioned what they did.

But as far as being able to access some sort of tutorial in the same way you'd check out a book from the library? That's an extremely rare thing. The people doing these one-off custom builds don't really consider that anyone would be trying to follow or copy them. They aren't documenting stuff for posterity.

So, if this is something you want to do, you're going to have to figure it out. There is no 'EASY' button for it.

The quality of the original display is a problem. And interfacing such an old display panel to a modern logic board.
With the G4 iMac conversion, a modern screen panel which has an interface board available for it makes it easier to make a usable conversion.

The other challenge is getting access to all the ports on any replacement logic board - physically fitting a new board where you can get access to plug things in…
