iPad Is there any way around this?

I have an iPad 3.

It keeps crashing, not a few times a day but constantly every five minutes.

It's jailbroken, Only reason I jailbreak is for xmbc with the hubwizard addons installed. I don't want to lose this as it's the only thing I really use the iPad for.

I've tried semirestore and iLexRat but neither helped.

So do I have any options? I can't update because 6.1.3 isn't jailbreakable, I can't restore to 6.1.2. I can't install XMBC without a jailbreak.

Have I missed anything or am I basically just screwed?

Semirestore and ilexrat were crap. Ended up updating and losing my jailbreak. Have you looked into using plex from the app store instead of xbmc? http://www.plexapp.com/

Both work fine, they can't fix damaged system files though, only a full restore can do that.

Did you setup as new or did you restore your old backup?

I tried both. Restoring and setting up as new.

Xbmc, springtomise and sbsettings.

But the crashing was still happening right after semirestore with nothing installed.

Thanks. Will give that a go.

I downloaded sbsettings again and it wouldn't work. Activator said mobile substrate was corrupt so I deleted and reinstalled that. No crashing since.

Not sure if that was the issue or just something that happened because of the issue. It started crashing last week and semi restore sorted it. So I've no idea if mobile substrate was the issue.

Will see how it goes. If it doesn't sort it ill just restore and sell it. It's useless to me without xbmc and if I swapped if for android I'd not have to rely on a jailbreak to install it.
