Hi all,

Just got my M1 MBA, steep learning curve coming from windows, and also iPad 🧐

Is there any way to get info box when hover over icons etc?

I'm a newbie at all this, and have no idea what half the stuff is on the screen. Having icons, but no explanations on pop up boxes is not great 🥲. Even the top menu titles that come up have no explanations when you over over them.

I've tried 2 finger clicks, force tap etc. no joy.

How you can advise

Regards
Martin

Which icons? Most apps buttons have tooltips, they will appear when you leave the mouse on the button/toolbar/whatever for a few seconds.

Menu usually don't have tooltips. Just try and see what they do.

Set your trackpad up for a "right click" (when you click in the lower right hand corner, of course).
This will invoke a contextual menu from which you can choose "get info".
