I mean when i open Chrome, it makes me re-verify myself by sending me a pop up. that's what I mean by 2fa.Not normal. In fact I don’t recall EVER having to use a 2FA code in Passwords.app.
What macOS version are you on? What type of VPN/security software?
I'm confused why the 3rd party browser can't be "saved as trusted source" and set a timer for inactivity. The number of times I close browsers entirely in a day is rather high. Or why Apple, can't just auto-fill. If you told me the code would be going to my phone, sure. But the code loads on the same screen I'm attempting to unlock. i have a feeling this is Apple way of making it just that tad bit annoying to use and get you to switch. This is expected behavior for third-party browsers. When you use the 'iCloud Passwords' browser extension, you need to enter a six-digit verification code to unlock the extension (it's not a 2FA code). When you quit Chrome, the extension is locked and you'll need to unlock it with another verification code the next time you use it. The only workaround is to just leave Chrome running so that it remains unlocked (or switch to Safari).

This is actually the same behavior in most Linux instances, too. When you sign into the OS, you then have to unlock the Password Manager. This is expected behavior for third-party browsers.
