I have a 2-story house with a home office on the 2nd floor. Sometimes I wish there was a way to speak to my kids on the 1st floor with my iPhone or iPad and have my voice come out my 1st floor HomePod. Nothing important. Stuff like “I’ll be done in 10 minutes so get your shoes on cuz we’re leaving as soon as I’m done”. Is that possible?
If it’s not possible, it seems like it would be a great addition to the HomePod’s “skills”.
Better yet, I’d love the HomePod to be a Walkie Talkie eligible device that I could speak to with my Apple Watch. That way when I “spoke” to my HomePod it would come out as an announcement. That would solve my problem and be easier than using my iPhone or iPad.
