I have started using Apple Maps and noticed that Apple Maps populates the "recent section" with destinations navigated to.

I Google to see whether there was a way to stop Apple Maps from populating the "recent sections". Google indicated that this could be achieved by turning setting one or more of i) system settings > privacy & security > maps > allow more location access = off and ii) system settings > privacy & security > system services > significant locations & routes = off

I tested the above two items to i) off / on and ii) off / off respectively noting that in both cases Apple Maps "recent section" continued to populate. SO no solution there.

I would appreciate someone letting me know how to stop Apple Maps "recent section" from populating.

Thanks is advance.
