It is getting a little too loose for my taste.

I can't get the angle to go too much lower than 90 degrees and it is pretty annoying.

Didn't know if there was a way to get it a bit more rigid.

You would have to open the MacBook. I would just live with it...
 
if you take it the macbook to your local apple store they should be able to service it - and i bet it wouldn't take too long. it might cost if its out of warranty though
