...HIGHLY compressed 3G network. I was trying to watch a YouTube vid earlier after moving out of a wifi zone and the quality was appalling and seemed like it was more suited for EDGE streaming not 1+mb/s 3G

I've been told this is purposeful compression on O2's part to avoid potential strain on their network and was wondering if there are any workarounds like an APN setting or something. As it stands if feels like I'm still using an iPhone 2G rather than a 3G/HSDPA enabled phone

Jailbreak ur phone. There is a few apps on cydia that go round this
