I often lay in bed and change the music using the apple remote in front-row on my macbook. However, as i try to doze off to sleep, the brightness of my monitor keeps me awake.

I know I can put it to sleep by holding the play/pause button, but is there any way to hack it so holding down the Volume down would shut-off the screen (Or kill the blacklight?)

Thanks!

Mira is software to tweak what your Apple Remote can do. I don't know if it can do what you ask but it can do.. stuff.. forsure...
Since it can run Applescripts then I would assume there is a way..
