is there anyway to setup custom sleep times for optibay drives?

i have a hdd in my optibay and i have cocktail setting it to sleep after 3 minutes. the problem is i produce music and when im using logic sometimes im tweaking parameters for a good amount of time, when i go to play the loop after tweaking a sound it has to start up my hdd and pops up with an error until the drive spins up.

is there anyway i can set my optibay drive to sleep after 3 minutes of nonuse EXCEPT for when im using logic to make music? i know im hoping for a long shot but...
