If you are a student you can get student discount off CS4 (i believe its $200 for students) just google adobe photoshop student discount and you should get several items available from the company with a shaved off price tag.

yes, student discount is always available. i remember it's about 200-300 in my school store

just google student software, i can't remember the site, but i got ms office and photoshop cs3 for like £70

When it comes to software, I only trust well known, big resellers. I would get it straight from Adobe because then you will have great customer support available if you face any problems with licensing.
