I can't seem to find a copy of OpenOffice that I can DL and install on my mac mini running tiger. I was able to move MS Office 2008 and Neo Office from my Powerbook and iBook G4s using firewire. I don't have my other computers so I can't check to see if I have a copy of OO on them. I'm using it on my air but I was wanting to use my mini for more writing so I just want to have different suites if possible and am use to OpenOffice a lot now than the others. Also have the iWork disc but its in storage with the other computers.

thanks. I'll use that one more.

If you have a hotmail account you also might be able to use Microsoft Office online with tenfourfox or IceweaselPPC. I haven't tried in awhile but last year I could still sign in and use it with Leopard Webkit, but for that you will need...Leopard. If you scroll down on the Macintoshgarden page there are links to the guy who was doing newer version of LibreOffice, last one is from 2018 by the looks of it.

Office online won't work IME via TenFourFox. I can't get past the logon screen.

Thanks for checking that.I wonder if you change the user agent to say...Firefox 76 or Chrome 83 or something mo-dern if it will let you in.

Worth a shot, but I'm not sure you'd want in on a PPC Mac. The sheer amount of crap that uMatrix shows me when I log in to MS Office Online from FireFox on my MBP is incredible. And I have to enable most of it or the site is unusable. That would be a real slog in TenFourFox on a G4.

Ah, the OP already has MS Office'08 at hands. That's much faster than the online-version, let alone the online-version makes you dependent on an active connection.
I would rather go back to Office'04 (and keep my documents in the Office 97-03 file-format), 'cause it's much faster, compared to Office'08 and probably also OpenOffice.
Or if on Tiger I'd use Classic/Office'01 which is the fastest and best adapted to low-res screens (and it has that nice pinstripe-design!)

Tried a supported Firefox Intel one at the time, still didn't work.

I suspect if it did load, the performance would be terrible, even on the DLSD 1.67GHz I tried it on.
