Even with a 128GB iPhone, after system files and a few apps, 65GB of photos takes up a lot of space. At what point do you say screw it and just use the storage optimization with iCloud? I just hate having to wait for a video to buffer in Photos. I wish we could allocate an actual number to make the optimization faster (like set 30GB to Photos).

It would be good to allocate a buffer, or to be able to prioritise keeping favourite videos or photos until needed.

That’s why I chose 256GB. Didn’t want photos and videos to load when I watch them. Besides that I use 75GB of Apple Music downloads. 107GB of 256GB used.

Use iCloud Optimization or Google Photos. You can’t seriously be watching all 60GB of video on a regular basis.
