Is there no push from gmail emails?

I used to get emails pushed to my phone with my gmail account, but on my iphone 5 I only see "Fetch" and "Manual" for the email retrieval options. Surely, I'm mistaken?

I must have forgotten to set something up right?

you need to set it up thru microsoft exchange.
