Intrinsic bookmarks? not the one that you can only see like in Preview. The bookmarks like Adobe Arobat Pro.

It looks like an iPad app. Is there an app that you can run on the computer?

PDF Expert is in the Mac app store and runs on Macs. I just installed it yesterday and so far really like it. And yes, you can add bookmarks.

Could it be seen as the ultimate alternative to the Adobe Acrobat Pro?

No, not even close. PDF Expert is a reader/annotation utility. The only title that comes close to my knowledge is pdf-Office Professional, an application suite that comes in the same price range as Adobe Acrobat Pro. The notion that you will get the functionality of the Adobe product for the price of PDF Expert lies somewhere along the road between pipe dream and delusion.
