is there something similar to Mxtube for iMac

i am using Mxtube for my iPad, now i want to know if there is a similar application for the iMac.
*well Mxtube helps you download and (save) youtube videos to your iPad .

is there a built in application or do i have to download something, if yes what do you recommend.

You can download YT videos via the the Activity Window in Safari. MPEG Streamclip plays the the FLV files and/transcodes them to a useable video codec.

hi, thanks for answering my question,
i googled MPEG streamclip and tried to download it but then it says streamclip5 is not compatible with the lion so i was wondering if there is another way... i mean seriously there is no similar easy application like Mxtube... i am majorly disappointed.
