Is There Something Wrong with My External HDD?

Hey, guys!

I just moved all my Garageband stuff from my internal HDD on my Imac to my 300GB Seagate external drive. It works great at first, and the files launch a lot faster. The problem is, whenever I press the "record" button, Garageband freezes up.

Anyway know a solution to this? Thanks in advance!
