I upgraded from an SE (3rd gen) to a 16 Plus recently. The SE was nice and stable, but was starting to show its age after three years (Lightning port didn't work, so had to charge wirelessly, and the speaker basically gave up the ghost). Bought the 16 Plus and immediately set it up after upgrading to 18.5 (came with 18.2 out of the box, I think). I've been noticing a bunch of things that seem kinda buggy, and I'm wondering if I have a problem with my phone, or whether these are normal and I'm just not used to the new phone yet. Things I've noticed:
1. About a week after first setting it up (including setting a passcode right away), when I tried to use it, the lock screen said that because I'd recently changed my passcode, I'd need to enter it again before being able to use Face ID. I hadn't changed it since initially setting it, though, and my old passcode worked and still works weeks later.
2. Despite removing the Shortcuts app, a process called "ShortcutsActions" shows up in my App Privacy Report as accessing my contacts multiple times per day. However, I haven't granted permission for any apps to access my Contacts. (Both my old SE and my wife's 14 Pro show the same thing, and googling suggests that other people have gotten this too.)
3. Often when I take a picture, the white capture button is replaced by a spinning/rotating circle for a couple of seconds. This happens regardless of light levels, night mode settings, etc. Lenses are clean.
4. I did once get a popup about FaceTime even though I removed that app too (I don't remember the precise details, it was the middle of the night).
Restarting my phone doesn't affect any of these things. Are these common bugs with 18.5 and/or the 16 Plus? Do I have software issues, or hardware issues? Security issues? Or am I just noticing things because it's been three years since I've switched devices?
