I bought a new Verizon 4g iPad. I haven't had a reason to buy a data plan on it yet, but I have a question that I need help with. I live at an address that is supposed to be covered by Verizon's LTE network, but when I'm using my iPad I noticed in the upper left that it says it's connected to 3g and not LTE. Is there something wrong with my iPad that it won't find the LTE signal, or is it because I haven't subscribed to a data plan? I'm just curious if this is an issue I need to look into, or if it is normal operation for an iPad.

This is normal. The LTE doesn't show up until it's activated. Search the forum next time.
