Is there still a OG-Guru trick that lets a person see hidden files in Mac OS?

It seems like there used to be a way to see ALL files in Finder, now with these new drive schemes it seems like it could be handy. In fact I have a "data" drive icon that should be hidden and I do not know how to hide it.

You used to be able to do it with Terminal, but this may have changed with the newest OS.


I just found this in a few seconds with a something search:

It seems like every day I search Google for the command to show hidden files on Mac OS X, not to mention Googling for the command to then hide those hidden…
