Is there STILL seriously no auto-reply for texts ap?!

I don't think Apple is going to add this feature, but I believe there are options if you're willing to jailbreak.

I also need my phone to automatically do every single other mundane task in my life.

I cannot live in this pathetic world anymore if my phone doesn't allow me to be a fat lazy slob like the humans in Wall-E.

WhatEVER!! It's precisely because I HAVE a life and am busy and NOT lazy that I want to reply to most of these text with an auto reply rather then hunching over my phone like a buffoon with nothing better to do (or getting in a car accident). These days 99% of contact in my life's done through others' decisions to text and I miss out on info and opportunities if I'm not available to at least read the texts. But I want to be able to auto-reply things like "sorry I'm driving" or "phone's turned off - please call on my land line" as a way to acknowledge them without getting sucked in to the b.s. And there's often a lot of b.s. I get text from friends saying stuff like "Alex is driving me crazy...we keep fighting in front of the kids...I hate my life right now" or "are these people ever going to hire me?" or "So? What did you think? Did you read my article?" I HATE IT!!!!!! Because one-word replies will just insult them! I've even told them all to knock it off and they just laugh since everyone texts or else just ignore me. It wouldn't be so bad if my iphone always had a full-sized keyboard attached cause I'm a fast typist but that's obviously not practical and even then I don't have time to chit chat most of the time. Nough said (sorry for the rant)!

Sounds like people have a misconception of what texting is for the vast majority and in design.
