I had began earlier this year to move all my photos to 1 external drive. But unfortunately things have not gone exactly as planned and I've got some on my internal hard drive, some on a 2nd external (after consolidating 2 laptops).

My goal now is to actually put in place what I attempted earlier. The thing is I have pictures with the same name across multiple drivesl. But because they were imported by different people using different machines, are in folders with different names. I want to my 320GB FW800 Western Digital to be the ultimate final destination. I want to sync my internal drive (and all it's subfolders of pictures folder) against the pictures folder (and all it's subfolders) on the Western Digital and have it simply copy anything from the internal drive to either 1 specific location on the Western Digital or inside the Pictures folder. Then repeat this process with the 2nd external. Ultimately having 1 single place and then burn a DVD of all the pictures.

Secondarily, I would like to know if there is a way to compare all subfolders within a folder and have it eliminate any duplicates.

Am I nuts in hoping this is possible?
