Is there such a thing as overcharging your MBP?

Overcharging meaning keeping power adapter plugged in even after 100% battery is charged. I don't do it with my iPhone because I think overcharging hurts battery. But with MBP, is that an issue? Or does the battery gets disconnected itself after 100% charging and MBP starts taking power from the adapter then? Will it hurt the battery if I just keep it plugged in after 100%?

While is is possible to overcharge a battery, the MacBook Pro and most other laptops made during the last 20 years have been engineered to stop that from happening, even if you leave it plugged in all the time. So there's nothing to worry about.

So plug it in whenever you want. Don’t worry about it at all. (And btw, you can leave the power plugged in as long as you want after the battery is fully charged. It won’t overcharge as long as you are using original Apple power adapters.)
