I have a screen protector with the apple leather case on my 12 MAX. I just dropped my phone coming out of the car in my garage (smooth cement serface) and of course it my screen protector cracked. While I have 2 more screen protectors, is there a screen protector that can actually survive small to slightly moderate drops (3 feet)? I’d love to get recommendations with personal experience.

Oh screen protector cracked not the screen. I just hate the waste a broken screen protector produces. It would be great if they were more durable.

You *want* the screen protector to crack. It means it is absorbing the fall and not the screen itself.

I think screen protectors are primarily there to prevent scratches... but you are right the screen protector cracking almost certainly reduced the impact force on the glass.

I guess I just done like having to take off the cracked one each time I drop out them lol. Thanks goodness I got apple care+

There is a single brand making real Saphire protectors, but they're costly and have a logo on the protector itself.

Check this one by Bodyguardz. I had it installed on my Max. I’ve used them on my last 3 or 4 phones, and they’re excellent. This is a newer version:

Shatterproof.

When glass protectors chip, shatter or break with impact—the protector is doing its job. The glass takes the hit, not your device. Over time, though, chips, cracks and shatters can be a nuisance. BodyGuardz solved these problems with a revolutionary new product called PRTX. If your glass protector breaks often, PRTX is the ideal protector for you.
PRTX FEATURES:
Extra-strong impact and scratch protection engineered not to break
• Ultra-Fresh antimicrobial product protection
• Easy, step-by-step installation process
• Perfect touch sensitivity
• Water and smudge resistant
• Case friendly, edge-to-edge coverage
