I transferred photos from iTunes and created albums on my iPhone and copied some photos. Now I have duplicate photos and if I delete a photo from the album which iTunes created, they also will be deleted from the album I made. Is there any way to keep the photos on the album but delete from other album?

Absolutely! It's called PhotoAlbums+ for iPhone/iPad. Just search in Cydia for PhotoAlbums+.

It's a paid tweak, but it's worth every penny to eliminate the asinine way Apple deals with photos on the iPhone.

With the tweak you have options. You can keep the same method, or you can move photos (which is what you and I both want to do). Additionally, PhotoAlbums+ will also allow you to prevent automatic uploads of screenshots or pictures you take with the camera to your Photostream. This feature allowed me to enable Photostream again as I had it off because I didn't want this happening.

The tweak is iOS6 compatible. Hope that helps!

I might be wrong but I think Photo Enhancer and Photo Organizer do this as well and they're free. But the other one recommended, PhotoAlbum+ is a really well know and popular tweak. Good luck!

Glad this question was posted, had the same problem, sounds like I need to buy those.

Do any of these options allow you to transfer all photos from the 'Photo Library' (that I imported from my Mac to the iPhone) into the Camera Roll, and then delete the Photo Library? I hate having pics from my previous iPhones not in the Camera Roll and don't want to just copy them either.

I dont know about Photo Enhancer or Photo Organizer as I use PhotoAlbums+, but using PhotoAlbums+ I just moved a picture from one of my albums in to the Camera Roll. The Camera Roll thus qualifies as an "album" I assume. The photo was moved and existed in the Camera Roll and not the other album until I moved it back.

So, that implies to me that at least with PhotoAlbums+ you can do what you are asking.

hi, you can tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings first.

This is generally never recommended for jailbroken devices.

It used to cause permanent respring loops but in the more recent iOS versions it just causes the device to hang until you reboot. Even though everything may seem fine after it boots back up, it is my understanding that it will most likely still delete system files which can ultimately cause stability issues. This is a nightmarish situation for A5+ Devices since you can not restore to a jailbreakable firmware on iOS 6.x and 7.x. If you are forced to restore, you are restoring to the newest iOS version Apple is currently signing. :(

MartineF is a 4 post newbie all referring to a commercial service, reported as advertorial

Besides that DON'T use erase all content and settings on a Jailbroken phone

When you plug your phone into your computer and open iPhoto, you should be able to upload all or selected pictures into iPhoto. Once it is done uploading, it should give you the option to keep or delete photos from iPhone.
Just curious where you got the assumption that this thread was about the ability to keep or delete photos after importing to iPhoto?

You are the first person in the thread to bring up iPhoto.
