During restart, I get the lovely prohibited sign on boot. safe mode does not work. I take the HDD out, put it in an enclosure - HDD boots fine off a USB enclosure. Drop another HDD in the Mac Pro, install a fresh copy of snow leopard (retail). Works fine. Restore via Time Machine. Prohibit sign comes back. Soo bad system file? I try again, with a gray proprietary disc meant for mac pro, prohibit sign on first restart after reinstall. I am so lost.
