Hi All,

I’m a little confused maybe this is supposed to be like this. When I go into the camera settings and select the format to be “Most Compatible” then tap Record Video, all of my settings show (High Efficiency). If I go back and select High Efficiency for format, then all my record video settings don’t show the (High Efficiency) sign. Is this supposed to be like this? It seems completely backwards. See video below.

I guess I’m just confused, I want the best, highest quality out of both my video and photos on my 12 Pro since I don’t care much about space, what should I be using?

If you look carefully in the description below the “Formats” options of High Efficiency/Most Compatible, it says that 4K/60, 1080p/240 and HDR require High Efficiency encoding. I see the same (minus the HDR language) on my XS:
