Is this a decent DAC?

I am buying the new ATV and need RCA inputs for my ancient and awesome Marantz 2220.

I was going to buy this and I know $50 is still a decent price considering true 'philes' spend $1000 on a dac. But since I don't know if my Marantz is going to live much longer should I just save the money and invest in a newer receiver that takes optical digital audio?
