I hope everyone is well and staying safe.

My new MP 7,1 will arrive on Wednesday (unless UPS delays it again)

I want to basically start fresh with everything on this new MP by doing fresh installs of all 3rd party Apps

I am going to disable iCloud on my old iMac, delete the hard drive and reinstall OSX then send it off to a buyer

However, I am thinking that, even if I do so, once I sign in to iCloud, all the iCloud data from my iPhone will populate the new MP

As such, I am thinking of disabling iCloud on my iPhone, resetting to factory settings and deleting content

I have exported Keychain, Calendar, Contacts, Safari bookmarks, iTunes (Music library) and all my documents to an external hard drive

Am I going overboard in wanting everything to be fresh on the new MP?

Are there any negative consequences (other than a possible time suck) to doing this?

Thank you and be well.
