Updated: What do you think about a base 2011 Mac mini + Apple wireless keyboard + Apple wireless trackpad all for $550? Or possibly a base 2012 for $520?

I was mainly looking for a media server, but may also be used for Final Cut Pro X for some non-HD video editing.

My concern is the resale value also, while I do want to keep it for a while, I may want to resell it for 2013 or 2014 versions when they come out. How much do the mini's depreciate after new versions? (seems low since I cant seem to find any (aluminum body ones) for under $400

Thanks!

Seems.....

as a passable deal, not a stellar one. About resale value, no taking in account market bias and another factors, you can assume a 25-33 % off yearly with safety....

Thanks! I passed on it. But I found myself bidding $530 for a same model, but with 16GB RAM and 750GB HDD. Part of me wants to win it, part of me doesnt >.<

agree. You can buy that model on craigslist in many areas for 350. thanks

All I can find on craigslist for 350 is a 2010 model and that's a 2 hour drive away from me :[
