Just purchased a used macbook pro of ebay and this was the description:

Apple MacBook Pro 15" retina display

Very good condition with original box and all accessories

Screen has been replaced in the last few months due to dead pixels

Repair Was carried out by apple under warranty

Early 2013

2.8GHZ i7 Quad Core

512 SSD

16GB RAM

1GB Nvidia GTX 640 M

I paid £1050 with delivery which is $1768.04 according to google aha

Can anybody tell me if I got a good deal considering this is an early 2013 macbook pro? Also is there much difference between the early 2013 macbook pro and the late 2013 macbook pros?

Thanks Ben

That is a pretty reasonable deal. The rMBP came with a gtx 650M, not a 640M, which seems a bit odd to me that they didn't list the computer correctly.

The Early 2013 model is basically the 2012 model (which is honestly not too much worse than the late 2013 model anyways). The 2012 rMBP got a slight processor bump in the beginning of 2013, so that is the only difference in the early 2013 machine. The late 2013 has a Haswell processor, a gtx 750M GPU (high-end model), PCIE Flash, and AC wifi. The baseline models don't have much appreciable difference in performance, but the high-end late 2013 model does have better performance. It was still arguably the least significant update to the Apple lineup in 2013. The computer you purchased is basically a 2012 model, but that is the one I would have recommended anyways.

Cheers Matt. Just needed some reassurance. Haven't paid this much money for a macbook in a long while
