I just decided tonight that I want to upgrade my 160 GB hard drive in my uMBP. I don't know much about hard drives so I was wondering if this is a good one.

Also, would upgrading my hard drive void the warranty of my MBP?

Also, how would I transfer the stuff on my current drive to the new one?

The WD is a good drive but I would recommend you check out the Seagate Momentus drives as well. You can probably get a 320GB/7200 or a 500GB/7200rpm drive for about the same price and I have found the Seagate to be slightly faster. You could also go up to the Momentus XT for more performance but at a higher cost. Also check out Newegg for pricing - not affiliated with them but sometimes their prices are very good.

Should be no warranty issues. Changing drives in the uMBP is pretty easy.
