My wife seemingly picked up a great deal on an ipad 2 at Walmart up here in Canuckland. $219 a good deal? Is there much of a difference between this one and newer models? Any chance of support dropping off?
yeah, just realized that and didn't change the title thread. It is for the mini, 16GB wi-fi.You neglect to mention which storage size and whether it's 3G or wifi only. Regardless, the iPad 2 is quite long in the tooth. I would personally not buy one at any price.
He is in Canada, so $219 Canadian is actually a bit less that $199 when you convert the currencies.$199 is the new normal price for that model.

It's the mini 2, not the ipad 2.I wouldn't suffer with an iPad 2 if one was given to me for free.
This is a sale that has been posted in several deal websites - good price. Nothing super special. But what better then retails. Which too many people pay.Yeah forgot to specify it's the mini. Wife just wants a smaller tab to play around with and have the kids use, etc, so we didn't want to spend the money on a newer version. No heavy usage here, but I know it's quite outdated at this point.
