Im talking to someone about trading my mac mini 1.8 intel core2duo , 3gb ram, 80gb HD (with 15inch flat dell monitor and keyboard and mouse) and my 15' Powerbook G4 1.67, 1.5gb Ram and 74gb HD for his 17'' Macbook Pro 2.33, 2gb Ram, 200gb HD.

Is that a good deal??

For trades www.everymac.com is nice to reference. I believe the Macbook Pro he is trading you is this one:

http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/stats/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2.33-17-specs.html

Released in October 2006? I guess to toss out some values (really just ballparking here, not saying its accurate and assuming everything is in good condition from both parties). The 17" Macbook Pro is maybe worth $750-$850 nowadays? Your Mac Mini is maybe $300-$400? 15" LCD is like $75 or so nowadays. I honestly don't know values of pre-Intel Mac so can't say for your Powerbook.

---Yours---
Mac Mini - About $400
Powerbook G4 - seems to be going for about $600 on eBay.
Dell 15" - Not much. In the UK you can buy Dell 15" monitors for £20 on ebay. Most likely $50.
Total - $1050ish
----
---His---
17" MBP 2.33 2GB RAM 200GB HDD - One with lower specs is selling on eBay for $1149. And thats with a 100GB HDD and 1GB memory.

Actually seems like a fair deal in the end. Seems to work out that you come out with a profit. I'd take it myself, as I'd prefer a more powerful MBP to a Mac Mini and G4.
