It has not and most likely will not ever be enabled. The CDMA iPhone 4 is missing the needed SIM slot.

Verizon does not use a removeable (sp?) sim card.

I just want to see if there is a hack out there to make the chipset work. I'm not trying to use it on a T-Mobile account. I want to be able to roam in places without CDMA, which the Verizon phone is not capable of doing out of the box. So I want to use it on GSM networks while using my Verizon number. It's just hardware, so it should be possible.

Verizon does use SIM cards in their global phones. The BlackBerry Storm and a few Androids have a Verizon SIM card for out of network roaming. The Verizon iPhone doesn't have a place for a DIM card thus it can't go on GSM networks. Also, no cell phone currently has an embedded SIM, CDMA (Verizon) doesn't use SIM cards.
