It has the Intel Iris Pro Graphics and 802.11ac wireless adapter, which are only available in the 2013 model, which is a Haswell model.
The model number also points to a 2013 model.

Even easier way to tell is it says Forth Gen. Forth Gen is haswell. I think they actually call it a crystalwell in mine.

you can identify macbook (haswell) from :

1. Version, for MBA haswell release with 760/761, MBA Pro Retina 13 with 864/865 and MBA Pro retina 15 with 293/294.

2. if you see the phisic, MBA air will get 2 note of mic

3. MBA haswell using intel HD5000 as a graphic.

from bold, it's a very simple way to identify macbook with haswell processor.

Thanks!! All this should be marked on the box as well at the time of purchase I would imagine?

This is a haswell MBP, no doubt. However, the model is listed at $2599 but isn't advertised to contain the GT650M. Is that just an accidental omission or does this model really not have the dGPU?

The only other 15" rMBP is the base model so my guess is that someone at BestBuy didn't get the specs right.

Would that be on the outside of the box as well? As you can tell, I just don't want to think I am getting the newest version and really buying the previous...

I'm 101% sure that this is the latest version. I'm 99.99% sure that this is the top model with the dGPU.

Relax and go ahead with your purchase.

Best of luck!
