Hi guys,

Just brought the LG 27UD68 4K. Great monitor! Currently using the apple usb c - HDMI adapter running 4k 30hz. Brought the right cable, still waiting tho.

Why the system shows 1920 x 1080. Is that apple retina 4k resolution right? Double the pixel I suppose? And I don't understand why it shows 30.5 inch display, but it is actually 27inch? Should I be worried?

Cheers

Hi,

Which Mac are you using?

EDIT: Sorry, just saw your GPU in the picture. Yes, it's probably your cable.

Nope, that's definitely not ok. Same monitor (LG 27UD68-W) connected via DisplayPort to a 2015 MBP.

My guess is it's your cable. A USB-C to DisplayPort cable would be the much better choice.

Umm. I am currently using the HDMI cable provided by LG.

Yeah, I have ordered a USB-C to DisplayPort cable 4k 60hz one.

Gonna have a look once my cable its here.

Cheers guys!
