This guy is selling his 13" MBP core i5 2.3Ghz for $700. There is a small dent in the corner of the screen and some wear on it. Is this worth it?

as always with a used mac... u want to take some precautions.

check for water damages?

has he upgraded the RAM and HD?

warranty still exists? (check the serial # on apple's website)

why is he selling it? do you know him personally? does he have receipt?

If the dent resembles damage from a drop (usually the case), warranty is probably gone.

Minor scratches/scuffs are okay though.

If the dent is on the screen and the screen is not shattered I see no reason why they would deny warrenty. People have dents on there mbp all the time and get them serviced.

I mean if its obvious they should deny the warrenty but one small dent and you should be fine.
