Got email from Apple Support saying AppleCare was not cancelled after iPhone trade-in a year ago and I was due a refund

I went back and looked at my old emails and apparently I did continue to pay AppleCare on the iPhone for 10 months.

However, I'm skeptical because I'm not sure why Apple is contacting customers to give them money? Or... if I was due a refund, wouldn't they just automatically refund it, without asking me to call Apple Support?

Call, just don’t call or use contact info in email. Apple lists their contact numbers on the web site Good luck.
