You don't 'buy' something from this site, you help fund the project so the guy can build this device and in return, you get one of them months from now.

This way of raising money is done all the time for ipad and iPhone cases.

I don't think that is a scam. Just like others said, it looks like another Kickstarter kind. By the way that bag(or case) looks like pretty well thought out .

It's not a scam but it'll take forever to actually get the case if it's funded.
