It depends on the case. Speck's smartshell adds little volume to the rMBP. You will probably have it dancing around a bit inside the sleeve but I don't think it will be too much. I couldn't risk it because I would always be thinking about how the sleeve was not made specifically for the rMBP but it's obviously up to you.
 
I really like the black one. I personally have a Gray/Green InCase sleeve and its awesome. But as far as Leather goes, these are a nice selection.
 
I don't know the price of these but I loved another leather ones that some users bought. It's over at the rMBP bags big thread. Those were like $150 but totally worth it from the looks of the pictures and feedback.

yes my concern is that it might wiggle a bit inside the case.

its the nicest ive seen for a leather sleeve though. im tempted

i contacted the company and they says theres a 6mm difference between size of the retina and size of the sleeve.

would you say thats ok?

What I would or wouldn't get doesn't matter. Preferences vary from person to person for various reasons. If you like it go for it. Polling isn't the way to address matters of preference -- especially for someone with Chuck Norris as a user name. :D

would the retina macbook pro with a case on fit fine?

Personally I wouldn't get it. It looks very bulky, so it would take away a lot of space in a bag. On the other hand if you just want to carry around the laptop under your arm, it might not be so bad. Not exactly my style though.

If you are looking for something that fits your rMBP well, you should find a sleeve designed for it, or at least find a way to test the fit before buying.

YES I AM SERIOUS!

the leather, is nice but it has some funky smell to it on one part

designed for 15" macbook pro and for good reason. my retina slides around a tiny bit from side to side. top to botton is ok.

ADDS WEIGHT. like it adds a pound or two to the weight. i have a case on the macbook to.

the one side has a opening to charge the macbook with it on but i dont like how exposed it is.

nice case, not worth the money F___ me for buying it even on clearance.
