This is my original iPhone 4 GB. I messed up the SIM reader a while back and bought a (supposed to be) working logic board on eBay. Other than the messed up SIM slot the phone works/worked perfectly. I installed the "new" logic board tonight and after installing it this is all I can get out of the phone:

Not sure if you can tell in the video but the screen gives a distinct denim/canvas type of "grainy" look (as opposed to being all gray or black). It also has a weird squared shape in the middle of the screen. You can see it in the video if you watch closely. It then just turns completely black.

Anyway, at first I thought that maybe I had just somehow screwed the phone up messing with all of it but I swapped the old logic board back in and the phone works/boots up/displays perfectly fine.

Now, going back to look at the auction I realized it says it's an 8 GB logic board. My phone is a 4 GB. Are the logic boards different? If so, would the 8 GB in the 4 GB cause these symptoms?

I'm mainly at this point trying to determine whether or not this new logic board is, contrary to the auction, not any good.
