There are no iOS viruses in the wild. When troubleshooting iOS or OS X, malware is the least likely probability, not the first thing you should suspect.

I also have this, it's very frustrating from a tidy-backup point of view. I assumed it was because I'm in the Asia Pacific region and America can't tell the difference between China, Australian and NZ.

Then of course there was the iPhone keynote, which was in some Asian language... Maybe Apple wants the world to start speaking Mandarin?
